Hillary Clinton's new book got it wrong

Hillary Clinton released her newest book, What Happened, last week, her personal account of what transpired during the course of the 2016 election cycle, and which factors led to her ultimate defeat. She blames everyone for her loss but herself, which is simultaneously astonishing and amusing.
Clinton blames around 40 different people and factors for costing her the election. With an impressive amount of diversity, her finger-pointing covers a gigantic number of factors. Scapegoats range from the Former FBI Director James Comey and Russian Intelligence, to website operators in Macedonia, and even Netflix. Oh, and don’t forget the fact that she is a woman. No one is exempt from blame except herself.
When asked about her serious flaws and mishaps, she downplays every one. The private email server, the fact that she deleted tens of thousands of emails, her comment about many Trump supporters being deplorable, and the Democratic National Convention rigging the primary for her were not important. According to Clinton, none of these were true mistakes and were all blown wildly out of proportion.
We are all taught when we are toddlers by parents and teachers that a true sign of growing up is taking responsibility for our own actions. Blaming others shows immaturity and a lack of introspection. There was so much talk from her campaign about her being the mature and measured candidate, where Trump was an irrational and bombastic child. For all the effort spent arguing that she was the ice cold and mature politician, she sure is spending a lot of time lingering over her defeat.
Additionally, a common theme that Clinton’s campaign voiced during the election cycle was that Donald Trump is a huge egomaniac. This is the one thing Hillary Clinton and I agree on. However, Clinton’s new book reveals that she is just as much of a narcissist; she just isn’t as flagrant about it. Writing a book blaming anything or anyone she can find shows how highly she thinks of herself: she couldn’t have possibly done anything wrong.
The fact is that Clinton lost because, as one of the most corrupt politicians to ever run for high office, she was a dreadful candidate. Lets not forget to whom she lost: a reality TV star who said so many crazy things a week that it would have easily derailed any other candidate’s campaign. Clinton ran against a very poor political candidate. Unfortunately for her, she was even worse.
If Democrats want to win again, they cannot do what they have routinely done in the past, and what Clinton did in 2016. As much as the Republicans are blowing it by failing to repeal Obamacare, cut taxes or build the border wall, Democrats still have to be enticing themselves. By blaming so many different Americans for her loss, Clinton is actually insulting their character and dignity. She didn’t even wait until after the election to do this; before the election transpired, she routinely called Americans racist, sexist, misogynistic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, homophobic, and many other cruel and unsubstantiated slurs. To make things even worse, many other Democrats besides Clinton have done the same.
The common degradation and slander many Democrats display to Americans shows the true amount of disdain and contempt they have for so much of the country. If Democrats continue the destructive precedent of attacking the American people’s character, they will meet the same fate as Clinton did last November.
