The holiday events to attend this season

Merry Christmas Westmont Community!

There are various events happening in the Santa Barbara community to participate in to get into the holiday spirit. The following events are either occurring during this week or will be available for viewing throughout the month of December.

Santa Barbara Night Market
Paseo Nuevo Shops and Restaurants
Dec. 2—Dec. 29 between 4pm and 10pm
This event is being held in the former Macy’s which will feature European craftsmen, retailers, and artisans. The space will be holiday themed with live music, carolers, and festive food and beverages.

Visit Santa and Pet Photo Nights & Let It Snow
Paseo Nuevo Shops and Restaurants
Dec. 2—Dec. 24 between 11am and 7pm
Come visit Santa and get a photo with him at his workshop in the Center Courtyard of Paseo Nuevo. Children visiting with Santa receive a free gift as well. “Santa FastPasses” can be acquired ahead of time to schedule a visit with Santa to better accommodate time.

Arlington Plaza 2nd Annual Christmas Market
Arlington Plaza
Dec. 6—Dec. 7 between 4pm and 9pm
This annual event features unique gifts from the plaza merchants. During the event, there will also be live music and season festivities, allowing participants to embrace the season while visiting the shops.

66th Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade
Downtown Santa Barbara
December 7th at 6:30pm
The night-time-only annual parade will be featuring various marching bands, performance groups, and holiday-themed floats. There will be a selection of the Holiday Prince and Fairy that will be based off the best artwork capturing the parade theme. These selected participants will have the opportunity to light up the community Christmas Tree.

The Nutcracker at the Arlington Theatre
Arlington Theatre
Dec. 8 at 2:30pm & at 7pm; Dec. 9 at 2:30pm (tickets range: $25-$50)
The 44th annual production of The Nutcracker will be accompanied by a live orchestra performing the music score done by Tchaikovsky. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the Arlington Theatre Box Office.

The Grinch (2018)
Santa Barbara Drive-In: Goleta
Available for viewing until Dec. 6; Showtime at 5:30pm
Watch the Illumination remake of the Dr. Seuss classic “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Grinch.
